1. Official original hardware authorization key for LSI MegaRAID SafeStore full-disk encryption, mandatory accessory to activate native hardware RAID encryption feature.
2. Working principle: Plug onto the matching pin header of supported RAID card; onboard memory chip stores permanent SafeStore license. RAID firmware automatically enables AES hardware encryption after hardware key detection.
3. Unlocked SafeStore core capabilities:
   • AES-256 hardware full disk encryption for RAID arrays;
   • Self-encrypting drive (SED) management, secure key storage;
   • Compliance with enterprise data security regulations (financial, medical, government confidential storage);
   • Without this key, RAID card disables all hardware encryption functions.
4. Mini compact PCB design, plug-and-play, no extra power or wiring required, does not occupy server chassis space.
5. Strict compatibility limitation: Only supports 9260/9270/9271 MegaRAID series; incompatible with 9361/95xx/96xx new-gen RAID cards, 3ware 9750, LSISAS1078 entry RAID cards and pure IT HBA.
